"I have been looking for ages for a program that would help me create forms like this. All I could find where companies who would do the job for a monthly fee, or exorbitantly expensive programs. FormArtist is not only extremely powerful, but as easy as something this complex can be. I am now looking for excuses to use it!"
Situation
I am interested in various aspects of web design. Although it is not my fulltime occupation, I have built several retail sites as well as a site for my company.
Key Issues
Web forms are an integral part of just about any website I can think of. In an attempt to integrate forms into my sites, I have dabbled with open source scripts, but I do not have the time to master this.
Implementation
I am building a site at the moment which requires the customer to enter a postcode to show which days my client will be delivering in that area, and then to make a choice of times for the delivery. This entails running scripts, something that I could not have contemplated before.
Result
The result of using FormArtist is that I am able to complete the client brief myself without going to a third party. I am also able to take on commissions that I would have had to reject before I discovered FormArtist.
FormArtist
The beauty of FormArtist is its simplicity. Although small in size, even the most complicated task is possible using the help files and movies. My only other experience of a program like this is “WebForms 2.7” which I struggled with for a time, and spent 30 dollars to unlock when the 14 days where up, never to hear from the company again (the money was drawn from my account)! Although the same type of program, WebForms is nowhere near as configurable. One of the best aspects of FormArtist is the ability to design the forms on a “Desk Top” so that you can see exactly what you are doing, and test it straight away using the Quask “Test Profile”.
