Quask Launches FormArtist v4.1
Award Winning Online Forms and Survey Software

New York, 12 October 2006

Quask, a leading provider of workflow and business process automation software, today announces the launch of a new version of its award winning online forms and survey software, FormArtist v4.1.  FormArtist is a desktop software package that enables users to rapidly create and publish web and e-mail based forms and surveys with no technical or programming skills required.  Quask has added significant new functionality to version 4.1 including a completely new Visual Interface for scripting and building intelligence into forms.

New Features
Quask’s new Visual Scripting facility offers a totally unique way of controlling dynamic form behavior.  It enables users to script and build intelligence into forms using an extremely friendly graphical interface and replaces the dialog-driven approach to scripting available in the previous version.  Quask’s extensive array of Visual Commands covers almost every imaginable aspect of form behavior including validations, conditional page branching, calculations, look-ups, field-preloading – and all without having to write a single line of code, though JavaScripts can be written if required.  This enables users to quickly and easily build complex logic into form behavior without having to resort to programming.

Already the market leader, Quask’s Forms Designer has got even better and enables users to create forms that look exactly the way they want them to look.  Containing the widest array of form and data capture objects available in any package, its WYSIWYG and drag-and-drop approach to form design makes it extremely easy to use.  A new feature in v4.1 enables users to control whether specific fields should be normal, read-only, hidden, flashing or shaded, allowing complete control over how respondents see form fields.

Visual Debugging allows forms to be tested before deploying and goes a long way in helping deliver problem-free forms on initial production deployment.  Other new features include significantly faster form loading times, a new date and time pop-up calendar and full versioning of forms.

About FormArtist
Creating forms with FormArtist is extremely straightforward due to its powerpoint like WYSIWYG and drag-and-drop interface, and its pre-defined style sheets.  This enables forms and surveys to be created in a matter of minutes, allowing users to benefit from hugely reduced production times.  FormArtist incorporates a comprehensive library of data collection objects, picture grids and form design features allowing users to create highly attractive, visually rich forms that encourage high response rates.

Online forms and surveys can be published to any web server and are deployed by email, link to a ‘pop-up’ window or embedded in a company’s web page.  Forms can also be deployed offline using the Offline Form Manager module.  FormArtist supports Excel, HTML, CSV, SPSS, Snap, ODBC and other formats for data analysis.  The FormArtist range of products comprises FormArtist Free Edition, FormArtist Standard ($199) and FormArtist Professional ($899).
