Quask, a leading provider of browser-based data collection, workflow and business process management software, announces today the launch of FormArtist Server, its advanced database-driven forms and survey solution. Like all Quask’s products, FormArtist Server has been designed with ‘usability’ in mind, and combines ease of use, ease of implementation, great looking forms and power into one solution. FormArtist Server will provide organizations with a highly cost effective method of quickly and easily gathering data and market intelligence to support and improve business decision making processes.

FormArtist Server has been built around Quask’s award winning browser-based data collection tool, FormArtist. FormArtist Server enables users to create extremely attractive online and offline HTML and PDF forms, surveys and polls. It offers complete scalability and the ability to integrate forms and form data with any back-end application, database or system. For an advanced application, FormArtist Server is incredibly easy to use and requires no technical knowledge or programming skills. Where no internet connection is available, FormArtist Server provides field based operations with a great way of capturing data offline on laptops or tablet PCs.

Creating forms and surveys with FormArtist Server is very straightforward due to its powerpoint like WYSIWYG and drag-and-drop interface, and its pre-defined style sheets. This enables forms and surveys to be created in a very short space of time, allowing users to benefit from hugely reduced production times. FormArtist Server incorporates a comprehensive library of data collection objects and form design features (including its patent pending emoticons) allowing users to create highly attractive, visually rich forms that encourage high response rates. All form access is browser-based and no plug-ins are required to display or complete forms. There are no restrictions to the number of surveys, forms or responses, and multi-page, high speed forms can be created which don’t require web re-loading between pages. Forms are deployed by e-mail, link to a ‘pop-up’ window or embedded into a company’s web page.

Intelligence can easily be built into forms and surveys using either a simple dialog-driven script manager or by writing JavaScript. This allows dynamic form behavior such as page-skipping, custom validations and other logic to be incorporated. For reporting on data, FormArtist Server supports Excel, HTML, CSV, SPSS, Snap, ODBC and other formats. Quask also offers its own real-time browser-based reporting and analysis tool, FormArtist LiveStats. FormArtist LiveStats enables users to easily configure reports containing bar charts, pie charts, tables, lists and OLAP cubes for access both inside and outside an organization.

FormArtist Server requires Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 Server running IIS and Microsoft SQL Server 2000. Any degree of customisation is possible, and FormArtist Server integrates at the form or field level with almost any other system or database. FormArtist Server (server side components) retails for $5,990 per server license and includes one Form Design Client. Additional Form Design Clients can be purchased for $899 per Client. FormArtist Server is also available as a hosted solution.
