Quask Launches Quask WorkFlow v4.0 With New Visual Interface New York, 26 September 2006 Quask, a leading provider of forms driven workflow and business process automation software, today announces the launch of a new version of its workflow software, Quask WorkFlow v4.0. Quask WorkFlow offers a unique approach to business process automation and workflow through web-based forms. It enables organizations to map their processes to eforms, encapsulating the routing, notification and workflow logic into the form itself, with no technical or programming skills required. The new version incorporates form design, visual scripting, workflow modelling and real-time reporting in a single package and provides users with a ‘one-stop-shop’ for all their business process automation requirements. It also offers a unique way of controlling form behavior and workflow modelling through a new Visual Interface. Explains Terry Schurter, Chief Analyst, The BPM Group, “One thing to say about Quask is that it is 'BPM for everyone'. The price point, no code development, simplicity and elegance of Quask WorkFlow v4.0 delivers the capability for practically anyone in any company to successfully leverage BPM (workflow, form development, form management) on their form-based processes. There is no doubt that BPM can't get much simpler, easier and cheaper than it is with Quask."Major new features in v4.0 include: Debugging, Versioning and Audit Trails – Visual Debugging allows forms and processes to be tested before deploying and goes a long way in helping deliver problem-free processes on initial production deployment. Full versioning of forms and processes is supported as is the ability to provide a full audit trail of all changes made to form instances - when, by whom and what the field values were before and after the change. This feature is more than adequate to meet most regulatory, business and governmental requirements for compliance and auditing. Forms Designer – Already the market leader, Quask’s Forms Designer has got even better and enables users to create forms that look exactly the way they want them to look. Containing the widest array of form and data capture objects available in any package, its WYSIWYG and drag-and-drop approach to form design makes it extremely easy to use. A new feature in v4.0 enables users to control whether specific fields should be normal, read-only, hidden, flashing or shaded, allowing complete control over how respondents see form fields at different process stages. Support for Microsoft SharePoint® - Quask has developed a complete set of Web Parts for SharePoint, and in the forthcoming enterprise edition, administrators can easily add Quask Web Parts to SharePoint pages to display Quask forms and their instances. Other Web Parts will allow users, for example, to view Quask WorkFlow’s LiveStats real-time report items, such as pie and bar charts, cross-tabs, lists, tables and exports. Quask WorkFlow requires Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 Server running IIS with .Net, and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or 2005. It offers complete scalability and the ability to integrate with any third party system or database, and with Active Directory. Licences retail for $19,900 per server and include five form design clients. About Quask <ends> For further information, a full press evaluation copy or a web demo, please contact: Wendy Smith |
