You are about to fill in a Quask form. For this form to work you need to enable the JavaScript functionality of your browser. Identify your browser and follow the instructions below:

Windows XP Service Pack 2
  • If the form is on the Internet, follow the instructions in the section below, entitled Internet Explorer 6.x.

  • If are trying to display response data email attachment or trying to preview a form in FormArtist, follow the following steps:

    1. In the "Tools" menu, select "Internet Options...".
    2. Click on the "Advanced" tab.
    3. Scroll down to the "Security" section.
    4. Select the option marked "Allow active content to run in files on my computer".
    5. Click on "Ok".
    6. Restart the browser.
Internet Explorer 6.x, 5.x or 4.x  (Windows)
  1. In the "Tools" menu, select "Internet Options...".
  2. Click on the "Security" tab.
  3. From the list of zones at the top of the Security options select the Internet icon.
  4. Select the button near the bottom that reads "Custom Level".
  5. In the new window that pops up, scroll down to the item that reads "Active
    6. Scripting".
  6. Select the option marked "Enable".
  7. Click on the "Ok" button at the bottom of the Security Settings window.
  8. Click on the "Ok" button at the bottom of the Internet Options window.

Netscape 7.x (Windows or Mac):


  1. Select the "Edit" menu.
  2. Click "Preferences ..." to open the Preferences dialog box.
  3. In the Category list, click the triangle next to "Advanced" so that it points downwards.
  4. In the list of items beneath Advanced, click "Scripts & Plugins".
  5. To the right of the list, beneath Enable JavaScript for, click "Navigator" to add a tick.
  6. Click OK to close the Preferences dialog box.

Internet Explorer 5.x (Mac)


  1. Select the "Edit" menu.
  2. Click "Preferences ..." to open the Preferences dialog box.
  3. In the scrolling list, click the triangle next to Web Browser so that it points downwards and you can see the bulleted items beneath it.
  4. Click Security Zones.
  5. In the Zone pop-up menu, select Internet Zone.
  6. Select "Custom (for expert users)".
  7. Click the "Settings..." button to open the Internet zone dialog box.
  8. Scroll down so that "Scripting" is visible, and select Enable from the pop-up menu for "Execute Scripts".
  9. Click "OK" to close the Internet zone dialog box.
  10. Click OK to close the Internet Explorer Preferences dialog box.

Netscape 6.x or 4.x (Windows or Mac)


  1. Select the "Preferences..." menu item in the "Edit" menu.
  2. Click on the "Advanced" label displayed in the list of options on the left hand side of the Preferences window that pops up.
  3. On the right hand side select the checkbox marked "Enable Javascript for Navigator".
  4. Click on the "Ok" button at the bottom of the Preferences window.
