At form design, the user can specify that a form should be saveable by the Respondent during completion. A username and password is entered by the Respondent so that they can return to the form at any point in the future. |

Attach Files to Forms
A special 'File Attachment' object, allows the Respondent to attach files of any sort to the form. These attachments are then associated with the form. Properties of the object allow the attachment to be saved with the XML data or placed in a user-definable folder. |

Real-Time Web Based Reporting
FormArtist LiveStats allows users to create bar charts, pie charts, cross-tabulations, OLAP cubes and list format reports. Reports can be output as HTML, PDF or RTF. Access rights are fully configurable. Configuration and reporting is browser-based.

Form to Server Communication
A FormArtist form can communicate with a web server whilst it is being completed. Look-ups on very large tables is a good example where you do not want to list, for example, 20,000 doctors in the form itself. Instead the user enters the first few letters of the name and this is sent to the server. A fully customizable server script can then return matches as XML data that might update a list box.

Pre-populate
You can connect your Client to an ODBC datasource and map form fields to database fields. Mapped fields can then populate form fields with database data. In the same way, returned form data can also populate ODBC data fields. |

Secure and Scalable
FormArtist Server does not store any information whatsoever on the web server's hard disk other than the components themselves. As all forms and data are stored in the database, you can add more web servers to meet your performance and redundancy demands.

Support for MSDE, MS-SQL, Oracle, MySQL
FormArtist Server can work with most SQL based databases. If you do not currently have a database, or do not want to purchase one, then MSDE can be used. MSDE is Microsoft's Desktop Edition of SQL-Server 2000. |
