Quask WorkFlow can run on your own hardware or as a Quask hosted solution. The system requirements are:
- Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 Server running IIS with .Net
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or 2005
The precise configuration of the servers depends on a number of factors determined by load and whether the server is shared with other applications.
It is possible to run both IIS and the SQL Server database on a single server. This would not necessarily be desirable in an Internet environment due to security considerations. In an Intranet environment the following will be required:
- Single Server running IIS and SQL Server
- 2-4 GB RAM
- 2 x 20GB Disk Space; RAID Level 1
- Xeon Processor
A more usual configuration is a separate web server and SQL Server database:
- Web Server: 1-2Gb RAM, 2X20GB Disks RAID Level 1, Xeon
- SQL Server: 2-4Gb RAM, 2X30GB Disks RAID Level 1, Xeon
Quask WorkFlow is easily scalable and 100% database driven. This means that you can add web servers without having to synchronize content.
